Tabkeep or Workona? One takes over your windows. The other gives your projects a home.
Workona turns each project into a window you live in. Tabkeep keeps every project on your new tab, with notes beside the links, and works without an account.
We make Tabkeep. Everything about Workona here comes from Workona's own pages, we say where Workona is ahead, and planned Tabkeep features don't count.

Tabkeep is a place to keep things, not a window to live in
Tabkeep doesn't take over your windows. It lives on the new tab, where every collection, space and group waits until you need it. Save what matters, close the rest, and open a new tab to find it again.
Groups hold saved tabs, rich-text notes, checklists, images, stopwatch timers and clusters, and easels give a project a free-form canvas. The live sidebar shows what is open now, so saving and closing happen on the same page, and Alt+A finds any tab from any page.
Your data stays in your browser
Workona is cloud-based: you sign in, and your spaces are stored on its servers. Tabkeep stores your workspace in your browser, opens instantly, and works without an account. Upgrade to Pro when you want the same workspace on another computer.
Where Workona still fits
Workona is a project manager for teams: each space is a window that autosaves with hourly backups, and it adds shared spaces, Google Drive, Slack and admin controls. If several people work out of the same set of tabs, it is ahead.
Which should you choose?
Pick Tabkeep for
- A calm new tab that holds everything you saved
- Notes, checklists and timers beside your links
- Using it without an account
- Clusters and easels for different kinds of projects
- Finding any tab with Alt+A
- Keeping your windows the way they are
Pick Workona for
- Shared team spaces with admin controls

Moving from Workona
- 1.In Workona, export your data from your account settings.
- 2.In Tabkeep, open Settings and choose Import from file.
- 3.Pick One per site or All in one, then choose where the links go.
Tabkeep imports the links from the export. Tasks and notes stay in Workona, so keep the export until you have checked your links. See Import links from another tab manager.
Frequently asked questions
Does Tabkeep open a window per project like Workona?
No. Tabkeep keeps projects on the new tab and leaves your windows alone. You open what you need from there.
Can Tabkeep suspend tabs?
Yes. The sidebar's session actions include Put inactive tabs to sleep, and sleeping tabs are marked in the list.
Does Tabkeep back up my sessions automatically?
Your workspace saves as you change it, and with an account it syncs to the cloud. Saving a window as a session is something you do on purpose; there is no hourly timeline like Workona's.
Is there a team plan?
Not yet. For shared team spaces today, Workona is the better fit.
